Get a sense of Leeds's industrial past while staying in boutique modern accommodation at 42 The Calls. Located in a restored 18th-century corn mill next to the River Aire, the hotel retains its original beamed ceilings, mill mechanisms and industrial girders.
42 The Calls is in a renovated area in the centre of Leeds. Once the heart of industry in the city, it is now home to restaurants and bars, and is also Leeds's main gay district. It’s minutes away from attractions such as the Corn Exchange, the Victoria Quarter shopping arcades, and both the West Yorkshire Playhouse and Leeds Grand Theatre.
The hotel has an honesty bar and there's also an on-site restaurant. For breakfast, you can choose from an extensive menu that includes homemade waffles and a selection of 12 seasonal sausages. It's a pet-friendly hotel, so you can bring your dog for £10 -- let the hotel know in advance. Treats and a water bowl will be provided.
All rooms have feather-filled duvets, free Wi-Fi, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and homemade fudge and shortbread. Some rooms have views over the River Aire (on request, subject to availability), while suites include a separate lounge and dining area.
