Oddfellows is a boutique hotel in the centre of Chester and according to Condé Nast Traveller, this restored Georgian house is "supremely eccentric", yet "dazzles and intrigues".

Chester city centre is "full of easy charms that can be explored on foot" according to Rough Guides and Oddfellows is a great base from which to explore. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Chester Cathedral, the main shopping area is close by and it's a 20-minute walk from Chester railway station.

The hotel's restaurant -- The Garden -- serves up food that has been described as "vibrant" by The Guardian. You can expect dishes such as sea bass, lamb rump and linguini on the menu; and there's also a comprehensive wine list. You will need to book in advance if you want to dine though, as the restaurant is popular with locals.

You can also visit the Lounge Bar, which has a "superb range of ales" according to Condé Nast Traveller. You can take your drinks into the hotel's Secret Garden -- a landscaped area which has open fire pits and private cabins.

Oddfellows is a Grade-II listed building with a contemporary design that's "supremely eccentric" (Condé Nast Traveller). Each of its 18 bedrooms has a TV and DVD player, a Nespresso coffee maker, a radio, an iPod dock and a minibar. There's free Wi-Fi throughout.
