Split into two buildings, this traditional 4-star hotel is near Milano Centrale, the city's main train station. It's four stops on the M3 metro line from here to some of the city's main sights, such as the Duomo Cathedral, the quadrilateral -- Milan's fashion quarter, Sforza Castle and the historical centre.
A generous breakfast buffet is served in the cosy breakfast room, plus there's an elegant, wood-panelled bar serving cocktails and Milanese aperitifs from 5pm daily, along with typical Italian snacks such as beef carpaccio with parmesan shavings. Although there isn't an on-site restaurant, the hotel works with a catering company that delivers room service on request until 10pm.
The formal lobby lounge features Sky TV as well as complimentary hot and cold drinks, available 24/7. There are plenty of personalised touches too: when booking, guests can request their preferred pillow type, room temperature, mini bar drinks, and even toilet-roll type.
Out of the 116 rooms, 16 are located in the annex building directly opposite the hotel's main entrance (these are awarded a 3-star rating). All are individually decorated and include free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, flat-screen televisions, mini bars stocked with free non-alcoholic drinks and air-conditioning, but superior rooms add tea- and coffee-making facilities, plus increased space and a more contemporary design.
