The Bristol Hotel is a modern property in an "unbeatable location" (Condé Nast Johansens) in Bristol's regenerated harbour quarter, within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, museums, galleries and theatres.
The hotel overlooks the River Grille, and is next to Pero's Bridge over the Floating Harbour. Bristol Cathedral, Brunel's SS Great Britain, the M Shed (a museum dedicated to Bristol's maritime history), the Bristol Hippodrome and the O2 Academy are all within 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. The Clifton Suspension Bridge is 1.5 miles away, and can be reached from the centre on the number 9 bus. Says Condé Nast Johansens: "It's great fun to take a water taxi from outside the hotel and explore the floating harbour – there’s a pub located conveniently by every stop!"
The hotel's River Grille restaurant serves modern European food and has tables with views. Snacks and drinks are available from its The Shore Café Bar all day, and there's also the River Lounge for afternoon tea and homemade ice-cream. The Bristol Hotel’s facilities include a well-equipped events centre for meetings and a gym on the 4th floor available for guest use.
The hotel has 187 rooms with four room types, all with free Wi-Fi, a TV and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Standard Rooms have a double bed and a desk, but may be a little small for two. Superior Rooms are bigger, and also have a dedicated working area. Deluxe Queen and Deluxe King Rooms are bigger again, and include Nespresso coffee machines, air conditioning, a bathrobe and slippers, and a free newspaper in the morning. There is also a larger Suite with an additional TV that can be adjoined to interconnecting rooms, and ideal for families. Breakfast is not included in the room rate, but can be added for £10.
