Burnham Beeches Hotel is built around a Georgian manor house set in 10 acres of landscaped gardens in Buckinghamshire, only 30 minutes from central London by train. The house was built in 1727 as a hunting lodge in what was then part of Windsor Park, and was used for royal hunting parties.
The property is a mile from historic Burnham Beeches, described by Countryfile as "one of the best examples of ancient woodland in Britain." The hotel is also close to Cherry Orchard local nature reserve, which has a cycle path, a play park and wildlife including green woodpeckers, kingfishers and Michaelmas daisies.
There's plenty to do in the local area. The hotel is on the boundary with Berkshire: Eton and Windsor are less than 20 minutes by car, and Henley-on-Thames is a 30-minute drive away. Burnham Beeches Golf Club is a 5-minute drive away.
You can dine in the 2-AA-Rosette Gray's Restaurant in the original Georgian mansion. For more informal dining or an afternoon tea, there is the Georgian Bar & Lounge. Other facilities at the hotel include a gym, an indoor swimming pool and a spa therapist.
Superior Rooms are more spacious than Classic Rooms and were refurbished in 2019. Wi-Fi is free.
