Disney's Beach Club Villas
Why We Love This Hotel
- Roomy AAA 4-Diamond-rated lodging for families and large groups looking to stretch out
- Avoid long transportation lines; Epcot’s side entrance is a four-minute walk from the hotel
- Fully equipped kitchens and an on-site marketplace makes it easy to cook your own meals instead of dining out
- Skip the parks and spend the day at the hotel's sprawling 3-acre water park, Stormalong Bay
Leave it to Disney to make a hotel so fun you might not make it to the parks. As part of the Disney Beach Club properties, the Villas have a New England seaside theme, with gabled roofing, pastel green exteriors and lavish ornamental white trimmings that make it look a little like a gingerbread house.
The adults will likely find the upscale nautical theme a refreshing change from the rampant critter couture of most of the other park properties. Kids couldn't care less about the décor once they lay their eyes on the 3-acre Stormalong Bay water park.
The water park features a "shipwreck" with one of the highest waterslides in Disney, a lazy river, lagoons and a separate shallow sand beach area. Kids of all ages can dig, splash, drift and play to their hearts' content. Parents can join in, or catch up on e-mail using the free hotel Wi-Fi.
Since the Beach Villas share exclusive access to the water park with the adjacent Beach Club and Yacht Club Resort properties, the villas are typically pricier than comparable lodging in other Disney properties. Higher prices can be offset by cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchens and saving on park passes by spending a day at the water park instead.
Guests of Disney Resort hotels receive the benefits of early FastPass+ access, extra hours in the theme parks, MagicBand bracelets for keyless room entry, theme park admission and purchases, complimentary parking and transportation within the resort and to the airport, as well as dining plans for every budget.
