Located between Pisa and Lucca, Bagni di Pisa Palace & Spa is a historic property in the Tuscan countryside. This former spa residence of the 18th-century grand duke of Tuscany has welcomed famous past guests including King George IV and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
The hotel is in San Giuliano Terme -- a small village just 15 minutes' drive from Pisa.
As well as its famous Leaning Tower, Pisa is full of Romanesque buildings, Gothic churches and Renaissance piazzas. Nearby Lucca, a fortress city surrounded by a Renaissance-era wall, is 30 minutes' drive away. The Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli natural park is also in the area.
