Overview

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, a sprawling chalet-style resort that takes inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie-style architecture and design, is one of Wisconsin's best hotels (U.S. News & World Report Travel).

Rooms are country chic with leather armchairs and antique-style furniture, plush cotton bedding, minifridges, coffee service and bottled water. The resort features seven different restaurants, cafes and lounges including the Geneva ChopHouse and Ristorante Brissago, both winners of multiple OpenTable Diners' Choice awards.

In winter, guests can hit the slopes on Grand Geneva's Mountain Top ski hill with 20 downhill runs (snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice skating, sledding and snowshoeing is also available). Guests can also hang out at the outdoor firepit, the roaring indoor fireplace or visit the nearby Timber Ridge sister resort with its 50,000-square-foot indoor water park, heated waterslides and a lazy river (passes available to guests for an additional fee). In the warmer months, guests can take advantage of the two on-site golf courses, horseback riding and nearby attractions such as cruises on Lake Geneva and zip-lining tours.

The resort is located just 10 minutes from downtown Lake Geneva -- sometimes referred to as "the Hamptons of the Midwest" -- with its many boutique shops, restaurants, bars and popular public beach.

They have a trolley that runs the property. It would be nice if it ran into downtown Lake Geneva.

All staff members we encountered were professional, courteous, and offered to help even if you did not ask for help.

View and scenery. Loved our lake view with ground floor access.

Thought the water park price was outrageous when not staying at TimberRidge. The access to washrooms from the pool at Grand Geneva was a bit far. It would be so nice to see a toddler slide at Grand Geneva pool. We’ve stayed at Timber Ridge in the past, and wanted to upscale ourselves a bit. Noise level during the night was obnoxious.....young adults yelling, drinking outside our patio door at 1am both nights. It’s actually more quiet and Timber Ridge.

Outdoor pool/hot tub space is very nice. Also, I like the jar of gummy bears in the room.

Avoid going when crowded. Rowdy children can ruin a good experience.

Would like to commend the housekeeping staff and main desk personnel. We had an issue with the coffee maker in our room not working. House keeping ladies were very prompt in bringing us a new coffee maker, and staying there to make sure the new replacement worked. The lady at the front desk who helped us originally, also made sure we had gotten our complimentary bottle of wine when we were checking out. True customer service from both departments! Thank You! That's what brings people back!
