Facing Vail's Golden Peak base area, the Manor Vail Lodge sits at the edge of Gore Creek and is a across the street from the gondola lift.
Guest rooms at this all-season resort are spacious and all have full kitchens, a living area with a fireplace and large windows -- many with great views. It is worth it to pay a little more to get a "Platinum" level unit which feature recent updates. The basic level condos are clean and comfortable but the decor/fixtures are reminiscent of the 1990s.
At the resort, guests can kick back in two pools and four hot tubs. Access to a fitness facility and Wi-Fi are also included in the resort fee.
Steps from the hotel, a complimentary shuttle brings guests into town, where more options for dining, shopping and nightlife can be found. Otherwise, stay on-site and dine at Fitz Restaurant & Bar, open year-round, and offering a farm-to-table menu with craft cocktails and brews.
Although the area is known for skiing in the winter, summertime offers a range of activities, from hiking to biking to relaxing with great views in the fresh mountain air.
