Hatherley Manor Hotel is a 17th-century property in the Gloucestershire countryside, rumoured to have been built for the illegitimate son of Oliver Cromwell.
Set in 37 acres of landscaped grounds, this 4-star property has a walled garden and manicured lawns.
Local attractions include Gloucester Cathedral and Gloucester Docks, which are both 10 minutes away by car. Cheltenham -- famous for its Regency architecture and arts and music festivals -- and Sudeley Castle, are both within a 25-minute drive of the hotel.
The restaurant holds an AA Rosette and serves seasonal ingredients and local produce. There is also a Lounge Bar that serves sandwiches, light meals and traditional afternoon tea.
Classic Rooms are on the ground and first floors of the manor house. Executive Rooms have upgraded extras such as bathrobes, slippers and mineral water. Wi-Fi is free.
Please note: A spa is currently being built on site. Work is expected to continue until early 2018 and will affect views from some rooms.
