This stylish hotel is just five minutes' walk from the Tower Millennium Pier, close to Traitor's Gate, where prisoners once entered the Tower of London. From there you can take a Thames Clipper river cruise as far as Greenwich or, to the east, Putney. St Katharine Docks is also worth a visit -- the historic marina has a number of upscale restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. HMS Belfast and the iconic Shard are both nearby (across the river).
The hotel's stylish Addendum restaurant (super-high ceilings, pendant lighting, deep leather seats) is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The à la carte menu serves seasonal grills and seafood, while the bar serves nibbles to accompany the extensive drinks list. There's a children's menu and a private dining option.
