Overview

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Downtown Toronto offers a retreat-like atmosphere to guests visiting for work, shopping or fun.

Other than the unbeatable rate from the travelzoo deal, the fact that I was able to check in before 3PM.
Other Comments
Had an issue with the door not closing properly, although appearing completely shut. Took 2 calls to front desk to get the handyman to come fix it, which took less than a minute by tightening two screws.

The wonderful service provided because even though I had booked/prepaid through Travelzoo, there was no record of my reservation. The DoubleTree made good - even though it took them an HOUR on the phone with TravelZoo to determine what occurred. Your booking partner DID NOT SUBMIT MY RESERVATION. As such, I had no room when I arrived. The DoubleTree was sold out for those nights - but honestly the manager went above and beyond and secured my room for me. This reflects very well on DoubleTree, but VERY poorly on TravelZoo. I will be reticent to book again on your site.

Again, the manager made this a stellar experience for me as a business traveler. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT service by the DoubleTree.

Check-in Staff was very friendly, room was nice for the price. The location is great for the CN tower, aquarium, and rogers center.
Other Comments
There wasn't a lof of restaurant variety on the streets close by the hotel. The street for checkin is a quiet street so it's nice if you're not familiar with the area you don't have to worry about heavy traffic. Only negative was the dinner we had at the Hempishere's restaurant. Would definitely stay at the hotel again.
