To have a room with a walk in shower we were a long way from dining room bars and reception .The trek to our room involved two lifts and a walk along a corridor with difficult stairs ( one with only a window ledge to hold on to ) which were difficult for my wife to negotiate. Rooms only serviced for stays of 3 nights or longer. An absence of drawers in the room.

When I booked the pools were within the cost but there was a charge for treatments in the Spa. We had to pay £70 for use of the pool both days. When I told the pool reception she said it used to be free. Bearing in mind the pool cost nearly as much as the room if it hadn’t said it was free we would have gone to a different place. Hence the ratings. My wife asked for our drinks, although polite the guy was very busy with the bar customers and drinks for the restraunt we waited over ten minutes. She went to the bar and waited a few minutes later the waiter came back. As soon as he saw my wife he apologised and promptly brought our drinks. The times for swimming were very strict when we paid for swimming we were told the next session was at 6-9 it was 3.10 but we were told we were too late. We had to cancel our evening meal which was booked for 9 pm

Everything was as stated. The forty minute trail around the woodland was lovely and the information boards were very good. Our room was spacious and comfortable and nicely furnished. It was nice to have two chairs as well.
Other Comments
Minor criticism I noticed the chair I sat on at breakfast was stained and needed some attention.
