Hotel Edouard 7
About the Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- Near Palais Garnier, the Louvre & Palais Royal
- Shopping hotspot Galeries Lafayette is just down the road
- Many rooms have balconies with views of the Palais Garnier
- Intimate on-site cocktail bar
Design inspiration comes from the hotel's namesake and the neighbouring Palais Garnier -- the renowned opera house -- and the period interiors have been updated with theatrical light fittings and regal purple tones. Fancy taking any of the artwork home? If you point out your favourites to the staff, they'll helpfully note down the designer's details in case you want to commission your own.
The on-site restaurant specialises in French classics, including frog's legs and chocolate fondant desserts. There's also an intimate cocktail bar, decorated with tartan carpet and stained glass, where guests can order a bespoke creation or choose from an extensive list.
Rooms have a couture feel, dressed in rich fabrics and textured wallpaper, and have been finished with hardwood floors. Tinted glass doors or curtains divide the bathrooms from the sleeping space, which might not suit the shyer guest. Pricier rooms provide more space, and some have balconies with views over the opera house. Suites are larger still and many come with fold-out sofa beds to accommodate families.
