Built in 1925 for hotel tycoon Conrad Hilton, the Hotel Indigo Dallas is an appealing blend of old and new. Architecture buffs will appreciate the Beaux-Arts façade while design enthusiasts will enjoy the colorfully updated interior design accented with the hotel’s namesake hue. Thoughtful modern touches include free Wi-fi, complimentary local shuttle, a fitness center and light bistro fare at the property’s restaurant.
The hotel is in the heart of downtown Dallas, close to sights including the galleries and museums of the Arts District, a seven-minute stroll away. The shops and restaurants around Pegasus Plaza are an even closer three blocks away. Or grab a Starbucks from the hotel café and shop until you drop at the flagship Neiman Marcus down the street. Although some might say the rooms are small, the location’s quick access to downtown Dallas’ high points compensate.
