Why We Love This Hotel

  • The hotel has a boutique feel, with hip décor and cosy furnishings. There's also a gym and free Wi-Fi throughout.
  • Continental and full English breakfasts are served in the Hide & Seed restaurant. It's also open for dinner Monday to Saturday (closed on Sunday). Drinks are available at the hotel bar (supplements apply).
  • The hotel is five minutes' walk from East Putney Tube station. From there, you can reach the museums of Kensington in around 20 minutes. Buckingham Palace and the West End are around half an hour away.
  • We recommend taking a walk along the Thames Path from Putney Bridge to Fulham Palace. The former home of the Bishops of London, it has a museum, cafe, and historic walled garden.

On arrival there was major building works going on at the rear. No mention of this was on Travelzoo, the reception desk had a notice about this. When we asked we were told the notice is on our website and booking.com. Why wasn't it put on Travelzoo then???

Wonderful experience even although there are building works going. Excellent staff who were helpful polite and respectful. The room facilities were very good and the room was fully serviced each day which is unusual nowadays. Wonderful selection at breakfast.

Although we were forewarned about the renovations, our choice of a luxury room at the back of the hotel meant that we were unaffected. The newly refurbished rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful.
Other Comments
The hotel has a practice of taking ‘pre authorised payments’ from credit cards. This is acceptable but not the amount of £125 nor the 4 days it took to clear from ‘pending’ …….
