Why We Love This Hotel

  • Created by merging, remodelling, and completely refurbishing the former Carlton and Lindum Hotels, Offshore has a great seafront location in Lytham St Annes.
  • The inn is perfectly placed as a base from which to explore the picturesque Fylde Coast or take a day trip to bustling Blackpool (around 15 minutes' drive away), with its bright lights and seaside attractions.
  • The bar and restaurant offers all-day casual dining, and has a large outdoor terrace overlooking the promenade and seafront.
  • Lytham Hall, a Grade I-listed 18th-century stately home set in 78 acres of wooded parkland, and Lytham Windmill are both less than 10 minutes' drive away.
  • RSPB Fairhaven Lake is less than five minutes' drive. The sea wall on the far side of the lake offers a fabulous view over the whole Ribble Estuary and the more than 250,000 birds that over-winter there, including redshanks, curlews, dunlins, and black-tailed godwits.

Beautifully decorated throughout, loved the rooms and finishing touches. All staff were exceptional.especially the lady who helped us at self check-in. Breakfast team were great, especially one of the guys, who was very informative about the area and how to get to nearby attractions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only tiny negative was the lack of a luggage room for us guests that chose to travel by train (needn't be massive, but would certainly be beneficial)

Very clean and comfortable but a bit on the small side, especially the bathroom. And a room with a view instead of a wall would have been appreciated. The chef didn't seem to know what the menu said and the food, although very good, didn't match. One or two issues with that aspect and having to wait 1/2 hour for my desert after the rest of the party had finished their's didn't go down well.
Other Comments
I realise it's early days for Offshore and no doubt issues will be resolved. A place for residents to relax would have been welcome. Designated as an hotel is misleading, it's a pub with rooms.

Great food, staff were helpful, our room was very clean and bar /restaurant was nice but a little dark.
Other Comments
Parking is a problem and we visited in April so I would consider before visiting in busy seasons. We did report standing water in our bathroom but it was still there on our checkout so maybe maintenance could be reviewed. This is an entirely personal view and not always shared by pet owners, although I do love dogs I don’t want to eat along side of them in a restaurant.
