Why We Love This Hotel

  • IXORA Hotel & Spa opened in January, 2025, on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.
  • Travelzoo members get a £15 discount towards two hours' facilities use at the Wave Garden Spa. It has indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy pools, the latter with mountain views. Other facilities include saunas, a steam room, and a relaxation suite. Reservations and pre-payment are required; supplements apply for additional treatments. Guests aged 16 and above can access the fitness centre (open daily 6am–10pm).
  • Zephyr's Bar & Grill offers a relaxed dining experience with lagoon and woodland views. It's open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks.
  • There is a wide choice of hiking and mountain biking trails on the doorstep. A 3.5-mile circular walk around Llyn Crafnant has views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Alternatively, a 3-mile trail near Abergwyngregyn village brings you to the magnificent Aber Falls.
  • Across the River Conwy lies a rocky outcrop called Cadair Ifan Goch (The Giant's Chair). In local legend, a giant sat on it to cool his feet in the river.
  • The walled town of Conwy has a massive riverside castle dating from the 13th century. It's around 15 minutes' drive from the hotel.

Staff great. Really informative and great service. Room lovely and great it had a fridge! Food excellent! Sea bass on first night and pizza on the second. Spa and outside pool/relax area just lovely!

Excellent service and excellent staff room was great food was great can't recommend it high enough will definitely recommend and will definitely be booking again didn't try the spa be will next time as it looked great only one small thing was not much choice on bar as they were waiting for a delivery next day the bar man was really good and we tried his recommended beer and found it was a local beer and it was very nice he was very professional and friendly keep up the great standard as I say we will be back soon

Enjoyable & relaxing stay, extremely comfortable bed and bedding. The Smeg fridge was great for keeping drinks chilled.The rain shower was amazing and shower gel/shampoo/conditioner were excellent quality. The reception staff & all staff we met were friendly. The list of places provided to visit with postcodes was helpful. The food in the restaurant was standard quality and breakfast was good.
Other Comments
It would be nice to have biscuits provided in the room. Food quality in the restaurant could improve, for example, small portion of soup for the price and not that warm.

The 2 hour spa experience was lovely, we had £15 off the spa price through the deal - we had a complementary glass of fizz which was a nice touch. The hotel was clean- staff were all very friendly - we had an evening meal which was really good- would go back there for the food alone! We had breakfast included in our deal and again excellent- plenty of choice . Only negative is that the Snowdonia surf has now closed down so all a bit sad- defo no lagoon view as is advertised- just a bit of a puddle! However hopefully there are plans in the pipeline for another venture there so in the future it won’t be an issue .
