£169 – 2-nt Wiltshire stay w/meals nr Cotswolds & Bath
About the Hotel

Why We Love This Deal
The Moonraker Hotel is a 17th-century country house that’s well placed for a discovery of Wiltshire’s ancient sites, Bath's “extraordinary array of architectural treasures” (Lonely Planet), and as a gateway to the Cotswolds. A 2-night break for two is now £169 — including dinner for two, cream tea, and daily breakfast — and saves up to 32% on direct rates.
What's Included
- Most dates for a 2-night stay have now sold out. There is still some availability for a 1-night stay remaining
- Valid Sunday-Friday until 31 March, 2023. Saturdays are £10 more
- A 2-night stay for two people in a Superior King or Twin room (subject to availability), with daily full English breakfast
- A 3-course dinner for two from the residents menu on the first night
- Cream tea (worth £9.50 per person)
- It’s £105 for an overnight stay with the same inclusions
- This is a non-refundable rate. Cancellations are not permitted
Why We Love This Hotel
- The Moonraker Hotel is a Grade II-listed building mentioned in the Domesday Book as being part of the Abbess of Glastonbury’s Estate
- The brasserie restaurant is housed in what was once the farm's old milking parlour and features a huge stone fireplace. Many of the herbs and vegetables that feature on the seasonal menu are from the kitchen garden, and meat and fish are smoked onsite in the walled garden’s smokery
- Superior King rooms feature seating areas and characterful original features
- The hotel is on the outskirts of Trowbridge, Wiltshire's county town. Bradford-on-Avon — with its pretty narrow streets, stone bridge, Jacobian Hall, and monastic Tithe Barn — is also less than five minutes' drive away
- The ruins of Farleigh Hungerford Castle are less than 10 minutes' drive away, as too are the boundaries of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
- The UNESCO city of Bath, known for its spa waters, iconic Georgian architecture, and rich Roman heritage, is around 20 minutes away by car
- Wiltshire has more prehistoric monuments than any other county in the UK. Avebury village with its 4,600-year-old stone circle is 35 minutes’ drive from the hotel. There’s also Devizes — a 25-minute-drive away — for the Wiltshire Museum, which contains two thirds of all the Bronze Age gold found in Britain, and Stonehenge, which is approximately 40 minutes’ drive from the hotel
