We upgraded to to superior room, but on arrival it was clear it was not of superior quality, looked exactly like a classic room. After complaining we were shown another room , which was better than the other one , looked as if it had been refurbished. The rooms advertised as not the rooms you are given, so be aware of this.

We booked this break in May this year requesting a twin bedded room ( my partner had just broken her shoulder and arm causing her (and me!!) problems getting comfortable to sleep. Despite confirmation from the hotel no twin bedded room was available when we checked in. As a result it did spoil our two night break.

We would have preferred an easier access room . The spiral stairs were very awkward.

The exterior of the building: the public reception rooms: the view out to sea.

The décor of our bedroom was rather dingy. The bathroom looked superb until you came to use the facilities - reaching the toilet roll nearly put my back out. The shower mat was located in a drawer in the bedroom and I didn't remember until too late. However, bedding and towels were excellent quality. The room and bathroom were very clean. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries were very good.
