Quinta da Bela Vista is elegantly decorated with a remarkable collection of English antique furniture. The hotel provides "excellent service", and "huge attention to detail", according to The Daily Telegraph.

Wisteria adorns the 19th-century facade of the old plantation house. It overlooks the outdoor pool that is heated between November and March. There's also a tennis court, a sauna, and a Jacuzzi. 

Start your day with a wide buffet spread at the Avista Navios Restaurant. A daily 4-course dinner from a fixed menu is also included in your package. Meals at the fine-dining à la carte Vista Restaurant incur a supplement. Two bars serve drinks, with enchanting piano sessions occasionally.

Garden View Rooms measure approximately 27 square metres, and come with tea- and coffee-making facilities. Wi-Fi is free throughout.

The hotel is surrounded by subtropical gardens in a tranquil hillside location. Take in views over the bay from the lush grounds. A supermarket is within walking distance. Funchal's classy town centre is approximately 10 minutes away by taxi.
