Hotel details
Saccharum Savoy Resort & Spa is a contemporary design hotel shaped by interior designer Nini Andrade Silva. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean on the south coast of Madeira, and is one of few hotels on the island within five minutes' walk of a sandy beach. The hotel is built on the site of an old sugar cane mill, and its slick interiors are inspired by the island's sugar cane industry.

Amenities include three heated outdoor swimming pools — one of which is an infinity pool with ocean views — that are open year round. There is also an indoor swimming pool, a squash court, and a spa with a whirlpool tub and sensory showers. Travelzoo members get one free entry to the spa, per person, per stay. 

You'll take your daily breakfast and dinner at the Engenho Restaurant, which has 100% positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Breakfast at the Engenho Restaurant is praised as "lavish" by The Daily Telegraph. Other dining options available for a supplement include Alambique, which specialises in traditional gourmet cuisine, and Trapiche Restaurant, which offers casual meals next to the swimming pool.
