The hotel is the home of Bled cream cake, which is made with layers of vanilla cream and custard, and topped with puff pastry. The recipe was created by pastry chef Ištvan Lukačević in 1953, and the hotel even has a cream cake drive-thru.
Daily breakfast and dinner is served in the Park Restaurant and Café. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
About the tours
Your first included excursion will be a walking tour of three traditional Slovenian villages -- Mlino, Seo and Ribno.
After this, you'll visit the Lipica Stud Farm, home of the white Lipizzaner horses. You'll tour the stables and will take a carriage ride, before watching the horses perform. Lonely Planet says a highlight of visiting the farm is "the performance of these elegant horses as they go through their complicated paces pirouetting and dancing to Viennese waltzes with riders en costume".
On your final excursion, you'll travel through the Soča river valley and will take a lake cruise on Most na Soči. You'll then continue to Goriška Brda, Slovenia's largest wine cellar, for a wine-tasting experience. The Goriška region is "home to some of Europe’s most exciting winemakers" (Rough Guides) and is famous for its orange wines.
