Grand Hotel Park and Villas Hotel is a deluxe hotel in Dubrovnik's Lapad Peninsula, under two minutes' walk from a pretty pebbled beach with views of the Elaphiti Islands.
It has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, two restaurants and a poolside bar, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
There is a seafront promenade under five minutes' walk from the hotel, where you'll find a number of bustling shops, restaurants and bars. Dubrovnik's Old Town is around two miles away, and can be reached by local taxi in less than 10 minutes.
On the fourth day of your holiday, you'll depart the hotel at 7:30am for a full-day tour of Kotor Bay, in Montenegro. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is "achingly atmospheric", says Lonely Planet -- "a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces and pillories."
You'll then drive through Montengro's stunning forested interior to Cetinje -- once the seat of the Montenegrin royal family -- before calling at Budva, a glamorous resort town nicknamed the "Montenegrin Miami" for its chic waterfront bars and lively nightlife.
On the sixth day, you'll embark on a galleon cruise around Croatia's lush Elaphiti Islands: Koločep, Lopud and Šipan. You'll have lots of time to explore all three islands -- "the Croatian Adriatic at its unspoilt, get-away-from-it-all best", says Rough Guides -- before enjoying a seafood lunch with traditional music.
Travelzoo tip: Sunj Beach, on the island of Lopud, is one of very few sandy beaches near Dubrovnik. Remember to take a swimsuit so that you can enjoy a dip in the shallow bay, with the island's rolling pine forests as your backdrop.
