Upon arrival into Pisa airport, you'll be taken to your hotel in the spa town of Montecatini Terme, about an hour's drive away. Hotel Ariston is in the town centre, two minutes' walk from the Park of Thermae.
The next day, you'll take a day trip to Pisa and Pietrasanta. Pisa's main attraction is its renowned Leaning Tower, which you can climb up for panoramic city views. Pietrasanta is brimming with art galleries specialising in marble sculptures, as well as boutiques and restaurants.
On the third day, you'll take the train to Florence (about 50 minutes), where you'll have a walking tour of the city. Home to some of the most famous artworks in the world, the city is dubbed the Birthplace of the Renaissance. Sights include the Ponte Vecchio on the River Arno -- the city's beautiful 14th-century bridge, where you'll find 4th-generation goldsmiths and art dealers -- as well as Florence Cathedral with its incredible dome.
On the Saturday, you'll have the morning at leisure before departing after lunch to Volterra for a guided tour and a traditional Tuscan buffet in a country estate. You'll then see world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli perform in his home town of Lajatico. The concert takes places in the Theatre of Silence -- an open-air amphitheatre in the countryside that was built especially for Bocelli to perform concerts and has views of the rolling Tuscan hills.
The Sunday will be spent visiting Lucca, a pretty cobbled town with completely intact medieval walls, Romanesque churches and piazzas. While there, you'll taste some local wine and have a light lunch a local winery. You'll then return to your hotel in Montecatini Terme and fly home from Pisa the next day.
