Hotel details
Longueville Manor is a country estate set in a private valley near St Helier. It dates from the 1300s, and has roaring log fires and a sprawling rose garden. The Daily Telegraph says it is incontestably the "most prestigious hotel in Jersey". The property also has near-perfect reviews from past guests on Tripadvisor.
A highlight is the hotel's restaurant, which is split into two rooms. There's the grand, wood-panelled Oak Room, and the airy Garden Room. You'll enjoy a complimentary meal in the restaurant as part of this package. The kitchen prides itself on its hyper-local products, often fresh from the hotel's Victorian-era garden. The on-site bee hives produce the honey served at breakfast.
St Helier is around 10 minutes away in a taxi. Alternatively, you can reach the town within 25 minutes by bus. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel. Winter is a great time to go exploring the wider island. The best seafood is in season—think oysters, clams, and cockles. You could also pair a coastal walk with a pint by a crackling fire.
