Hotel details
Hotel Reale is a traditional, family-run property on a quiet street in Montecatini Terme. It is just off the main piazza, a short walk from the main historic spas. 

300 metres above Montecatini Terme, you'll find the older hilltop village of Montecatini Alto. You'll get free tickets to ride up on the funicular train for a wine-tasting session. We recommend visiting the grand Terme Tettuccio Art Nouveau spa complex from May–October. Spa entry costs around €6 (£5).

Montecatini Terme also makes a great base for exploring further afield. A rail trip to Florence are included—the journey takes around 90 minutes, each way.

Lucca, under 30 minutes away, is one of Tuscany's best-preserved Renaissance cities. Wandering its Medieval ramparts feels "just like stepping into an illuminated manuscript", says Lonely Planet.

Transfers & baggage
Transfers between the airport and hotel aren't included. Travelling from Pisa Airport, the train costs around £10, each way. It takes just under two hours, with changes at Pisa Centrale and Lucca. You'll alight at Montecatini Terme rail station, which is around 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. Add checked baggage from £59 per bag, return.
