Hotel details
Kipriotis Hippocrates is a deluxe hotel in Psalidi, a quiet area on the outskirts of Kos Town. The hotel is surrounded by lush gardens, and is around five minutes' walk from the nearest beach.
Buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at the main Ariadne Restaurant. You could also dine at the Greek tavern and Mediterranean restaurant (supplements apply). Cakes, snacks, and ice cream are available at the pool bar all afternoon.
Unlimited drinks can be picked up at four bars, including a beach and a pool bar. Your all-inclusive package covers draught beer, house wine by the glass, and local cocktails.
A cycling trail leads from the hotel to the heart of Kos Town. Or, you could call a taxi to get there in around 10 minutes. Lonely Planet praises the "superb Medieval castle" and "extraordinary architecture".
It's worth checking out Hippocrates' Plane Tree in the centre of town. The ancient tree dominates the cobbled square. It is said to have been where Hippocrates taught the art of medicine over 2000 years ago.
