Sun Siyam Iru Veli lies on the private island of Aluvifushi, in the Maldives’ South Nilandhe Atoll. The 5-star resort is surrounded by soft white-sand beaches that “seemingly melt into the shimmering aquamarine water” of its secluded lagoon (The Daily Telegraph).
The resort’s facilities include two outdoor swimming pools, a tennis court, a gym, and a spa. The Sun Aqua Spa is built over the lagoon and has open-air rain showers, hydrotherapy pools, a steam room, and a sauna.
If you want to explore the lagoon’s incredible marine life, the all-inclusive package comes with a free guided snorkelling safari tour and a sunset dolphin cruise. There is also a PADI dive centre, plus a variety of watersports on offer, including canoeing, paddleboarding, jet skiing, and windsurfing (supplements apply).
Daily buffet meals are served at the beachfront Aqua Orange restaurant, which offers Maldivian and International cuisine. There is also an Italian restaurant, plus an outdoor grill that serves fresh seafood dishes by the beach. The resort’s main bar serves cocktails throughout the day, and all-inclusive guests can grab an afternoon snack at the poolside bar.
Beach Villas have a private sundeck overlooking the Indian Ocean and come with a pool, an outdoor shower, sun lounges, and free Wi-Fi.
