Itinerary
The holiday begins with an overnight stay in Hanoi, a city known for its "lemon-hued colonial architecture" and "delicious street food" (Rough Guides). You'll then take an overnight cruise around Halong Bay to admire its emerald-green waters and towering limestone islands.

You'll then return to Hanoi and do a city tour, before boarding an overnight sleeper train to Hue, the former capital, for an overnight stay. You'll explore the remnants of the city's imperial past with a guided tour, taking in the 100-year-old Citadel walls, other-worldly pagodas and the Perfume River.

The next day, you'll take the scenic drive to Hoi An, passing beaches along the way. You'll spend three nights there, and will have free time to explore the city and relax on the beach. You will also take a cycling tour into the countryside, where you'll learn about the local farming techniques.

You'll then fly to Ho Chi Minh City, from where you'll drive to the Mekong Delta for a leisurely boat trip along the river, passing house boats, villages, rice fields and tropical plants. You'll stay overnight in the riverside city of Can Tho, and will visit a floating market the next day before finishing the holiday in Ho Chi Minh City. There, you'll take a final walking tour, to see sights including the War Remnants Museum.
