The tour begins in Delhi, where you'll discover both the old and new cities. You'll see Jama Masjid, one of Asia's largest mosques, the Red Fort and Humayun's Tomb. You'll also take a rickshaw ride around the colourful streets of Chandni Chowk.
From Delhi, you'll head to Agra to visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites -- the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. After a night in Agra, you'll drive to Jaipur, stopping off at the "magnificent" (Lonely Planet) Fatehpur Sikri, an ancient sandstone city that was the capital of the Mughal Empire before it was abandoned in the late 16th century.
Once in Jaipur, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, you'll visit the Amber Fort and the City Palace Museum, which is home to some impressive Rajasthani and Mughal art. You'll then head back to Delhi for another night, before your flight to Bhutan.
The tour of Bhutan will start in Thimphu, via a scenic drive with views of the Paro Valley. Lonely Planet calls Bhutan's capital "one of the world's most intriguing destinations", due to the juxtaposition of its traditional Buddhist way of life and an increasing commercial presence.
Next, you'll travel to Punakha. En route, you'll visit the 15th-century Chimi Lhakhang temple, which is accessible only by walking through paddy fields. During your stay in the city, you'll visit the Punakha Dzong, one of the country's most impressive buildings thanks to its size and intricate gilded interior.
You'll then head to the town of Paro. Here, you'll visit the National Museum, the Kyichu Lhakhang temple, started in the 7th century, and the Rinpung Dzong fortress. You'll also head out of the city and hike 2-3 hours to visit the Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest Monastery), which is perched high on a cliff edge.
Finally, you'll fly back to Delhi for one final night before your flight home.
