Furaveri Island is in the Raa Atoll near Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO biosphere reserve, and is home to just this resort. The hotel "is aimed at honeymooners and couples, and has a very romantic vibe… any seasoned Instagram star would seethe with jealousy", according to The Travel Magazine.
Beach Villas are right on the shore, and have a private wooden sundeck with views of the ocean, two sun loungers, a semi-open-air bathroom, and free Wi-Fi. There's also a free mini bar with bottled spirits, beers, wine, snacks, and soft drinks, which is restocked each day. A demi-bottle of champagne will be in your room on arrival.
The premium all-inclusive board covers meals at Jaafaiy Restaurant, which serves a buffet of international dishes, plus a 3-course lunch or dinner at the Asian-fusion Rayvilla or casual-Mexican Amigos restaurants for each 5-night stay. Udhares Bar also serves 24-hour snacks and premium-brand drinks, which are included.
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a spa offering a range of treatments, a gym, and tennis courts. Group yoga, snorkelling, and windsurfing lessons, as well as windsurfing and kayaking equipment, are also covered by the premium all-inclusive board — there's a house reef with turtles, tropical fish, colourful corals, and manta rays. The resort also has a PADI-certified dive centre, where you can learn to dive and go on excursions to nearby sites (supplements apply).
Guests will also get two excursions during their stay — one sunset dolphin-spotting cruise around the island on a local dhoni boat, plus a half-day trip to the nearby Meedhoo island, where you can see a local village.
