From Delhi, you'll head to Agra to visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites -- the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. After two nights in Agra, you'll drive to Jaipur, stopping off at the "magnificent" (Lonely Planet) Fatehpur Sikri, an ancient sandstone city that was the capital of the Mughal Empire, before it was abandoned in the late 16th century.
Once in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan province, you'll visit the Amber Fort and the City Palace Museum, which is home to some impressive Rajasthani and Mughal art.
The penultimate stop is Pushkar, an important pilgrimage site with a holy lake at its centre. Lonely Planet describes the town as "enchantingly small and authentically mystic" -- it has over 400 temples, including one of the world's few temples to Brahma. Finally, you'll head back to Delhi for the last two nights and a full day at leisure.
