Itinerary
You'll fly into Quito, the best-preserved colonial city in the Americas. In 1978, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the first night, you'll have a welcome briefing with a representative, who can answer any questions. You'll have some free time to explore this historic city before heading onwards to the Galapagos islands.

Begin your adventure in the Galapagos islands on San Cristobal, where you'll go on a guided hike to Loberia beach. You can also add on a snorkelling tour on Isla Lobos for an extra charge. You'll then transfer to Santa Cruz island for two nights, where you'll have some free time to explore. We recommend visiting the Charles Darwin Research Station, the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Center, and Tortuga Bay, which attracts sea turtles and marine iguanas.

You'll then head back to Quito, where you'll get a guided tour of the city. In the afternoon, you'll continue on to the Ecuadorian highlands, and onto the lodge in the Amazon rainforest. Finish the day by walking around the gardens at night—with some luck, you might spot bioluminescent mushrooms. The lodge you'll stay in offers a number of interesting tours and activities that you can book onto for an extra charge. Go rafting, visit a local community, or go hiking through the jungle.

After two nights in the Amazon, you'll head back to Quito, stopping in the town of Papallacta. The town is known for its thermal waters, and for an extra charge,  you can go for a dip in the hot springs. It's then time to adventure into Peru. Fly into Lima, and the next day, head out on a tour of the city. See the old town, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the colonial mansion of Casa Aliaga, and the Larco Museum.

It's then onto Cusco, where you'll visit the town of Chinchero. Its elevated location offers beautiful views of the valley, and it's also home to archaeological remains and a 7th century church. You'll also visit the Museum of Yucay, where you can learn about Andean traditions, and even feed llamas and alpacas. Top it all off with lunch at a local restaurant in the town of Ollantaytambo, as well as a visit to its Inca ruins.

The tour finishes in the Sacred Valley, where you'll ride a train from Aguas Calientes up to Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the Modern World. A guided tour will explain the origins of the 'Lost City of the Incas' and give more information on its most prominent features.
