Itinerary highlights

  • Bangalore... take a walking tour of Bangalore Palace, the city's top attraction.
  • Mysore... enjoy a vineyard tour and wine tasting in Channapatna. Explore the spectacular Mysore Palace. Continue to Chamundi Hills to admire the Temple of Chamundeswari.
  • Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary... spot wild and migratory birds, from the white ibis to the open-billed stork.
  • Mudumalai National Park... look out for elephants, tigers, leopards, jackals, and sloth bears during a jeep safari.
  • Ooty... is in the Nilgiris district. It's known for its rolling grasslands and vast tea plantations. Visit the botanical gardens, a local tea factory, and the town of Lovedale. The British founded Lovedale in 1812.
  • Nilgiri Mountain Railway... is one of the steepest narrow gauge railways in the world. It's charmingly known as the 'toy train' by locals. Chug through dense forests and lush valleys.
  • Wayanad... visit the mesmerising Needle Rock View Point and the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. In the afternoon, spend time at the scenic Pookot Lake.
  • Kochi... follow your guide along narrow streets and through bustling markets. See spider-like Chinese fishing nets by the shoreline. Watch a Kathakali performance, featuring music, drama, and storytelling.
  • Alleppey... spend a night on a traditional houseboat and discover the region's glistening backwaters. These vessels are known as a kettuvallam and are held together entirely by coconut ropes.
  • Poovar... sunbathe on pristine beaches, swim in the Arabian Sea, and relax with an included massage. You'll also take a boat trip through Poovar Island's lush mangrove forests.
