Itinerary
- Kathmandu... explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu shrine at Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. You'll also have the option of going on a flight over Mount Everest to take in the panoramas without any climbing (additional charge).
- Chitwan... Lonely Planet calls Chitwan National Park "one of the best wildlife-viewing national parks in Asia", teeming with wild rhinos, tigers, leopards, and deer. Head off on a bird-watching nature walk, go on a jeep safari through its dense jungle, and canoe down the Rapti River in a traditional tree canoe. You'll also visit the Tharu village, home to the indigenous people of Terai, who have lived there for more than 500 years.
- Pokhara... upon arrival, you'll have the option to add an early morning drive to Sarangkot to see the sun rise from behind the Annapurna mountain range (extra charge). You'll also visit Phewa Lake, the Gupteswar Cave temple, the Gurkha Museum, the Old Bazaar, and Devi's Falls.
- Delhi... discover both the old and new cities of India's capital. You'll see Jama Masjid, one of Asia's largest mosques, the Red Fort, and Humayun's Tomb—plus take a rickshaw ride around the colourful streets of Chandni Chowk.
- Jaipur... go on a guided tour of this pink city, and explore the magnificent Amber Fort—a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Agra... on your way to Agra, you'll stop off at the "magnificent" (Lonely Planet) Fatehpur Sikri, an ancient sandstone city that was the capital of the Mughal Empire, before it was abandoned in the late 16th century. Once in Agra, you'll take a tour of the unforgettable Taj Mahal, the perfect way to finish off your adventure.
