Itinerary
After flying into San Jose, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for the night. The next morning, you'll stop for a traditional breakfast en route to Tortuguero National Park, where you'll arrive at your lodge by boat along the main canal. In the afternoon, you'll go on a guided tour of the local village. 

The next day, you'll take a full tour of the park, as well as a boat ride along the meandering canals. If you travel in September, you could opt for a night walk to see the nesting of the green turtles in the evening (additional charge). 

After leaving Tortuguero, you'll stop at a local restaurant for a homemade lunch en route to Arenal. Here, you'll go on a guided tour of Arenal Volcano National Park, which is known for its hot springs, tree frogs, and of course, the active volcano. Optional activities here include a tour of La Fortuna waterfall, horseback riding, and a sloth tour (additional charge).

Next stop is Monteverde, where you'll go on an excursion through the hanging bridges of the beautiful cloud forest. After three nights here, you'll continue on to the beach resort of Carrillo, where you'll have three nights to relax and recharge on the pristine, sandy beaches. You'll then head back to San Jose for one final night before your flight home.
