You will fly to Slovenia's capital Ljubljana and transfer to your hotel in the scenic village of Kranjska Gora, in the Julian Alps, where you'll get a double or twin room all to yourself, meet fellow solo travellers and your guide. The resort boosts a Turkish steam bath, a sauna and indoor pool (perfect for your downtime) and is surrounded by green gardens and pretty meadows on the edge of Kranjska Gora.

The next morning, after breakfast you will take a stroll through the alpine resort of Kranjska Gora, by Triglav National Park and take in its breathtaking scenery, before stopping by the Liznjek homestead museum to learn the traditions of Upper Sava Valley.

The following day will be spent in the great outdoors, appreciating the fresh mountain air and admiring the spectacular scenery of the Julian Alps. You'll drive through the Upper Sava Valley and over the Vrsic Mountain Pass, which is one of Slovenia's highest roads. At the summit you'll see truly awe-inspiring views. Next, a descent into the horseshoe-shaped Trenta Valley and drive along the shores of the emerald-green Soca River for lunch in the picturesque town of Bovec, before heading towards the Predil Mountain Pass.

On day four, it's time to explore Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana and its charming, cobbled streets and castle-topped hill. Visit its bustling market along its riverbanks, St Nikolai Cathedral, and the architectural splendour of its town hall.

The next day is free for you to spend as you please in Kranjska Gora. Enjoy a picnic in the surrounding meadows, explore the village, or unwind in the hotel’s wellness suite.

Day five is all about the beauty of the lakes. First, you'll head to Slovenia's largest, Lake Bohinj, for stunning views, then take a cable car ride up Mount Vogel. From the summit, you'll take in the imposing peaks and lakes of the Julian Alps. Next, head to the blue-green waters of Slovenia's only island, Lake Bled. Travel will be in the form of a traditional wooden Pletna boat and you'll stop by the 12th-century Bled Castle. While you’re there, we'd recommend sampling Bled's famous Kremsnita, an indulgent cream and custard cake.

The final day offers a day to yourself, before flying back to London from Ljubljana the following day.
