Itinerary highlights
- Hanoi... there will be plenty of free time to explore this foodie capital. You'll also take a guided tour of the city, admiring Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum. See the One Pillar Pagoda, and finish at Hoa Lo Prison museum. During your stay, visit Huu Tiep Lake, featuring the wreckage of a downed American B-52 aircraft. Wander through the lively local market, or see people going about their day in the Old Quarter.
- Halong Bay… take an overnight all-inclusive cruise in this UNESCO-listed bay. See its limestone pillars, emerald-green waters, and forested boulders.
- Ho Chi Minh City… with its French architecture and strong coffee culture, it's one of the country's fastest-paced cities. It's home to some of Vietnam's best museums, including the War Remnant Museum. While there, take a tour to see Thien Hau Temple and its own Notre Dame Cathedral.
- Phnom Penh… a buzzing foodie scene has emerged in Cambodia's riverside capital. On an included excursion, visit the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Prison Museum. Learn about the country's dark recent past under the Khmer Rouge.
- Angkor (from Siem Reap)… this 12th century, Khmer Empire temple is Cambodia's crowning jewel. A full day's tour concludes with the most famous temple of all, Angkor Wat. You'll be able to watch the iconic sunset over its remarkable skyline. You'll then have two days at leisure to explore Siem Reap.
- Bangkok… finish your colourful adventure by visiting some of the world's most iconic temples. See the huge solid-gold Buddha (weighing over five tons) at Wat Traimit. At the city's largest temple, Wat Pho, find the legendary reclining Buddha statue of Wat Pho. You'll also explore Chinatown, where you can sample stir-fried crab or sweet and sour shrimp.
