Itinerary
Arrive in Beijing—a culinary capital full of imperial-era delights and enchanting hútòng (ancient alleyways). You'll visit sights such as Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City with an included tour. On day three, take an excursion to the Great Wall—a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next, take a high-speed train to Xi'an. Tour the Old City Wall's South Gate and the Muslim Quarter. You'll also see the world-famous Terracotta Army. Once you're back at the hotel, feast on a dumpling banquet.
The next stop is Guilin in the south of China. It's famous for its limestone hills, sparkling rivers, and majestic rice terraces. Visit a pearl factory and Elephant Trunk Hill, a trunk-shaped rock extending into the river. You'll then head to the Yangshuo region, cruise down the peaceful and picturesque Li River.
The final stop is Shanghai, where you'll stay four nights. Take a walking tour of Nanjing Road and The Bund neighbourhood on the first day. Finally, wander through the Yu Garden and discover the city's history at the Shanghai Museum.
