The tour starts in Tehran, where your guide will take you to the Golestan Palace, before you soak up the atmosphere of the Grand Bazaar and visit the National Museum to learn about Iran's rich history.
You'll then head to Isfahan. On the way, you'll stop in Qom to visit Fatima's Holy Shrine, and in Kashan, where you'll see the 19th-century Borujerdiand and Tabatabai houses, the Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse and the ornate Fin Garden. In Isfahan, you'll visit both the Si-o-se and Khaju Bridges, which span the Zayanderud river.
Over the next two days, you'll see the sights of Isfahan. You'll start with a half-day tour, including the Plaza del Imam and the Grand Bazaar, followed by the Palace of Chehel Sotoun in the afternoon. The next day, you'll take a full-day tour, including the Jameh Mosque (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Vank Cathedral and the Amu Abdollah Gardaleni Mausoleum.
You'll then head towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Yazd. En route, you'll stop and visit the Jameh Mosque at Nain, as well as the desert city of Meybod. In Yazd, you'll see the Amir Chakhmaq façade, walk in the Old Town and discover historic desert architecture, including a water reservoir and wind towers.
The next day, you'll take a tour of Yazd, including the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, the Friday Mosque, with its beautiful façade of blue tiles and the Temple of Fire. You'll also see the Zoroastrian Towers of Silence and the Dolat Abad Garden, home to one of the largest wind towers in the world.
On your way to Shiraz, you'll visit the Arbarkouh, home to a 4500-year-old cypress tree, and Pasargadae. During your stay in Shiraz, you'll visit Persopolis, the second capital of the Persian Empire, built in the year 512BC.
On your last day, you'll take a full-day city tour of Shiraz, including Narenjestan Qavam Garden and the Nasir-al-Mulk and Vakil mosques, before spending the afternoon at the city's lively bazaar. In the evening, you'll visit the tombs of famous Iranian poets, Hafez and Saadi, before making your way to the airport for an early-morning flight.
