About the attraction
Warwick Castle was built in 1068 by William the Conqueror, and features remains of a Norman motte, 14th-century sandstone walls, and wooded grounds. The castle is packed with attractions and activities for all ages, such as The Falconer's Quest bird of prey show, archery, lessons at the Knight's School, the Horrible Histories Maze, and an interactive children's trail based on the Julia Donaldson character Zog.
The glamping tents are in the Knight's Village in a woodland just five minutes' walk from the castle, and look out over green fields parallel to the River Avon. The site is only accessible to those staying at the village, so you can relax outside your tent with plenty of privacy. The Warwick Tents feature a number of home comforts — each tent includes a large canopy bed and two singles, wooden flooring, lighting, storage chests, and power sockets. There are shower and toilet blocks on the grounds, and a visitor centre that handily stocks essential items. For an added touch of glam, the Kings Luxury Tents "offer a more exclusive and luxurious sleepover with theming that absolutely transports you back in time" (Coventry Telegraph). You can expect a four-poster bed and two single beds, adorned with opulent blankets and cushions, lighting from faux candelabras, a small covered outside area, and two wooden thrones. All tents include Medieval-themed furnishings, linen bedding, including duvets, pillows, and sheets, and free Wi-Fi. You can view a floorplan of the different tent types here.
Accommodation includes a cooked, continental, or vegetarian breakfast. Guests will be entitled to a takeaway breakfast, but can upgrade to standard breakfast (served in the Medieval Banqueting Hall) as a free add-on upon booking. Please note numbers will be limited for restaurant dining. This is to help manage the restaurant capacity in order to meet social distancing guidelines.
