About the installation
The Tower of London is home to the Crown Jewels, the famous ravens, and the legendary Yeoman Warders. You can see all three on a visit to the historic palace, which represents some of Britain's most intriguing and bloodiest history. Explore the iconic White Tower, where you will find armours of Henry VIII, Charles I, and James II. Plus, enter the Medieval Palace, which was refurbished in May this year.

"The Tower Remembers" is a temporary art installation, marking 80 years since the end of WWII. The display of nearly 30,000 poppies, originally displayed in 2014, returned to the Tower last month. The installation resembles a wound at the heart of the Tower, which was itself bombed during the Blitz. Blood-red ceramic poppies pour across the lawn and flow outwards, commemorating the many sacrifices made. Within the Tower's walls, the instillation creates striking images, reminding visitors of loss through war.
