A winter wonderland

Dublin sparkles in winter—cosy up by the fire in a lively pub, enjoy live music, or explore Ireland beyond the city. Getting there's easy: fly direct from 21 UK airports with Aer Lingus, Ryanair, BA, or Loganair (around 90 mins), or sail from Holyhead with Irish Ferries or Stena Line (3 hrs). Then, explore to your heart's content.

Sip, savour, and explore

Traditional Irish food is all about hearty, wholesome meals made with local ingredients. Dublin's also known for its vibrant modern dining scene, so you're guaranteed great food. Don't miss the city's whiskey heritage—tour a distillery to sample a dram or two. Or, visit the Guinness Storehouse for a pint of the Black Stuff.

Walking, heritage & more

Discover Dublin Bay's picturesque coastline along the Dublin Coastal Trail, linking 11 charming villages. Or visit Newgrange—a Neolithic monument older than Stonehenge and the Pyramids of Giza. Fancy a day trip? Head to the Wicklow Mountains for scenic hikes, cycle routes, and sweeping views.

NYF Dublin

New Year's Festival Dublin runs citywide from 30 Dec–1 Jan, with live music, fireworks, parades, and dazzling light shows.
