Itinerary

  • Regensburg (full day and night in port)... fly into Munich then board in Regensburg, the northernmost point of the Danube. This Bavarian city has a storied past—it was once key to the Holy Roman Empire.
  • Passau... is where the Danube, Ilz, and Inn rivers converge. You'll tour the Gothic and Baroque landmarks with a guide, and can choose to join a leisurely cycle along the River Inn.
  • Melk, Wachau Valley, and Durnstein... here are some of the river's most classic vistas. Tour Göttweig Abbey with a wine-tasting session, wind through the steep slopes of the Wachau Valley, then finish up in Durnstein. You can choose to visit the castle or cycle around the terraced vineyards.
  • Vienna... wander the grand boulevards and delve into art history at the Kunsthistorisches Museum. It is especially famous for its Brueghels and Carravaggios.
  • Bratislava... sail into the city centre and explore the Slovenian capital on a guided walk. In the afternoon, you'll be invited to a local family's home, where you can learn about the country over coffee and cake.
  • Budapest (full day and night in port)... discover the city on a comprehensive walking tour that includes the Buda Castle District. The rest of the day is yours—the historic bath houses are especially enticing in November.

On some dates, the exact same itinerary operates in reverse. You may also travel on one of Emerald Sky's sister ships: Emerald Destiny or Emerald Star.

You'll enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the elegant Reflections Restaurant. Dinners are multi-course and take inspiration from each port of call. Your drinks package includes beers, wine by the glass, mocktails, soft drinks, and bottled water.
