Start your holiday with three nights' stay in Sydney, at a deluxe hotel that has a café, a restaurant, and an indoor pool and gym at the wellness centre. A central location will provide easy access to some of the top sights, with shops and entertainment also on your doorstep.

While in town, you'll get a guided day tour to Hunter Valley, one of the most renowned wine-growing regions in Australia. Tastings at local wineries, and lunch are also included.

Next you'll embark Royal Princess for a fortnight's cruise to New Zealand, calling at:

  • Bay of Islands… ranks as a top summer destination, where you can go on a gentle hike in endemic forests that hide caves and waterfalls, or hop on a boat to one of the fine beaches in the area.
  • Auckland… is the largest city in New Zealand, and its position between two harbours means you'll get sea views at every turn. A glass of wine in a waterfront restaurant is a must-do.
  • Tauranga… pronounced toe-run-gah, this city is the gateway to the Bay of Plenty. A sacred Maori mountain towers over the city, and makes a beautiful lookout point. You can book an optional trip to Rotorua to learn more about Maori culture and learn how locals live alongside the geothermal springs.
  • Wellington… is one of the world's prettiest capitals, with timberframe houses, a crescent-moon beach, and forested hills full of sea breeze. You can see kiwi birds on Kapiti Island, a short ferry trip from the city.
  • Lyttelton… is the seaport of Christchurch that is the departure point of optional excursions to sample the Waipara wine region's famous wines, including pinot noirs, pinot gris, rieslings, chardonnays, and sauvignon blancs.
  • Port Chalmers… is 15 minutes' drive from Dunedin that is often referred to as the Edinburgh of the South, and has a strong sense of Scottish heritage that stretches all the way to haggis, tartan, and bagpipes.
  • Fiordland National Park… you'll cruise between mountains up to a kilometre high, and see the glacier-carved fjords of Doubtful, Milford, and Dusky Sound.

You will disembark in Sydney, and will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home in the UK.
