The trip begins with a 2-night stay in Mauritius. Best known for its white-sand beaches, Mauritius is also an "island to explore", says The Daily Telegraph, with "Indian temples, colonial houses, botanical gardens, and opportunities to spot rare birds among soaring ebony trees, walk with lions or swim with dolphins". Head to the south of the island to see the Trou aux Cerfs volcano and the Seven Coloured Earths sand dunes.
Boudicca spends the night in Port Louis, Mauritius, before sailing to the Seychelles archipelago for an overnight stop in Praslin. Praslin island is famous for its beaches, including Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette.
Next, Boudicca sails to Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles on Mahé Island, cruising past beautiful Silhouette Island en route. In Victoria, you can take a catamaran trip to the uninhabited island of Moyenne (supplements apply).
The next port of call is Mamoudzou, the capital of the French island of Mayotte -- one of four islands that make up the Comoros archipelago. There, you can take a boat trip around the island for the chance to see schools of tropical fish, turtles and dolphins.
You'll continue onto Madagascar -- described by Lonely Planet as "fantastically beautiful" and "amazingly diverse for its size" -- for stops in Nosy Be, home to beautiful beaches and the remote Lokobé rainforest, and Antisiranana (formerly Diego Suarez), one of the largest cities in northern Madagascar, with colonial architecture and bustling markets. There is an optional excursion to the Amber Mountain National Park for the chance to see lemurs and chameleons (supplements apply).
The next stop, after a day at sea, is Le Port on the island of Réunion (a region of France), where you'll find a string of chic boutiques and restaurants. The west coast is a haven for divers, with sea life including turtles and barracudas, or there are plenty of waterfalls and pools inland.
The cruise ends back in Port Louis, Mauritius, for the flight back to the UK.
Boudicca is a mid-sized ship with lots of open deck space, a cabaret lounge and a library. There are five dining options, including the formal Tintagel and Four Seasons, and the more casual Secret Garden Café.
There are also two outdoor swimming pools, two Jacuzzis, a sauna and steam rooms, a shuffleboard court and golf practice nets.
