Itinerary
The adventure begins with two pre-cruise nights in Singapore. This buzzing city state features "a spark that makes it one of Asia's top destinations", says Lonely Planet. There’s plenty of Buddhist temples, Arab bazaars, Victorian hotels, and dazzling malls to explore. You'll then board Norwegian Sky for your 14-night cruise, calling at:
- Port Klang… travel inland to tour Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia. Head up to the Batu Caves to see the rainbow staircase and 140-foot-high golden Hindu statue.
- Phuket... sail over to Thailand, explore the local markets, then fill your day by relaxing on the island's famous sugar-white sands, while admiring crystal clear waters and palm-fringed shores.
- Galle… a delightful walled Sri Lankan town with grand colonial mansions, ancient mosques, and churches. Visit a turtle hatchery to hear about conservation efforts protecting these precious creatures.
- Kochi… a place where spice markets and fish markets line the streets and delicious local cuisine can be sampled. Visit St Francis Church, India's oldest European church, and the imposing 16th-century Santa Cruz Basilica. Offering a slower pace, you can while away time here by meandering around the waterfront area and watching the fishermen.
- Mangalore… this coastal city on India's western shores is known for its golden sands and turquoise waters, with Panambur Beach regarded as one of the best in India. There are many ancient temples to explore here, including Kadri Manjunatha Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in South India.
- Goa… enjoy seafood and spices with some famous Goan cuisine in a place where life slow. Goa offers a sequence of white-sand beaches, sleepy fishing villages, and tropical spice plantations.
- Mumbai… this energetic city's colourful history is complemented by countless mosques, hidden temples, unique bazaars, hipster hangouts, and some of the best food you'll try in India.
- Dubai… stop at the futuristic powerhouse of the Middle East, renowned for its clouds-brushing skyscrapers and luxury shopping malls. Watch the sun set over the city from the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. At 828 metres, it's home to the highest outdoor observation deck in the world.
- Abu Dhabi... we recommend visiting the award-winning Louvre Museum or the fascinating Falcon Hospital. No expense is spared in healing prized patients at this veterinary hospital.
- Doha… discover Doha's atmospheric Souq Waqif, and visit cutting-edge museums like the Museum of Islamic Art, before boarding your flight home.
