The Daily Telegraph praises the "relaxed, informal and inclusive" atmosphere of MSC Magnifica. It has two main dining rooms and a large buffet restaurant, and Cruise Critic compliments the traditional Italian dishes as "cooked to perfection".

Other amenities include a large split-level theatre that hosts a variety of live entertainment, and two large swimming pools — one can be covered with a glass dome on cool days —  with hot tubs. There are also Brit-friendly features, including Yorkshire Tea in every cabin, and scones and jam at teatime (chargeable).
