Itinerary
After landing in Toronto, you'll be transferred to Niagara Falls. You'll stay in a hotel that overlooks the falls. The famous ferries wheel, and Skylon Tower's revolving restaurant are both within walking distance away. A guided day tour of both the American and Canadian sides is also included.
You'll then ride business class aboard Amtrak's Maple Leaf train to New York. You'll have two nights to explore the city that never sleeps. You'll stay in a centrally located hotel, within easy reach of some of the top sights in Manhattan.
Next, you'll embark on a week-long cruise, calling at:
- Newport, Rhode Island... is known for its Gilded Age mansions along Bellevue Avenue, many of which are now museums, and for its seafood restaurants, galleries, and shopping gems.
- Boston, Massachusetts... learn all about the American Revolution on Boston’s Freedom Trail. Visit the campus of the prestigious Harvard University, or first public library, or take in some of the city’s most "exquisite architecture" (Lonely Planet) in Copley Square.
- Portland, Maine… is famous for its stunning coastal scenery and its many seafood delicacies. Set off on an optional lobster catching excursion, or hop on a vintage trolley at the Seashore Trolley Museum.
- Halifax, Nova Scotia… the charming waterfront and the Shubenacadie Canal's working locks offer lots of things to do. You could also visit Peggy's Cove, a charming fishing village with a beautiful lighthouse.
